This is the practice horror trailer that we filmed at the start of the A2 year. It was loosely based on the Don't Be Afraid of the Dark film of 2010 which is shown below.
In our practice horror trailer we tried to build the tension through the slow montage at the beginning and then used collision cutting in order to emphasise the tension. As our trailer was called "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark" we tried to incorporate as much darkness as we could into the trailer even though this was filmed during the day at college.
I think that taking this into consideration, we produced a good trailer for the time and setting that we had to work with.
